Game 5 ALCS another walk-off hit to make the series 3-2 against the Yankees, eventually winning the series and going to the World Series.
This one was special because it was my second walk-off of the series. We played 14 innings grinding, not giving up on our hopes and goals. I had a long at bat, kept fouling off pitch after pitch staying alive until the pitcher would make a mistake that left a ball over the plate. Finally, with guys on base in the 14th I found a pitch I liked and was able to poke it into the outfield to score the winning run. We won that game…and who knew what was coming?
